In 2018, a group of local vendors from another market in Houston approached Efren Gonzalez and Janet Yazdi ( Azteca Farmers Market´s owners ), to ask for their support by suggesting that they might be interested to invest in a space where he could develop a local farmers market since the market where they were had raised the rent too high.After making several inquiries, Efren and Janet decided to buy a place for the entrepreneurs and this is how the Azteca Farmers Market project began to take shape in 2019. Its main commitment is to offer a unique local food experience along with affordable prices for both vendors and customers.Azteca is an example of community, support, solidarity, where entrepreneurs and their dreams are motivated, where customers and sellers support each other and create a unique experience.
